Complete and total surrender. That is a big theme for me.” So says musician/worship leader Lincoln Brewster when discussing the inspiration for his August 2005 recording, All to You… Live, on Vertical Music.

Music began at age 5 for Brewster when his mother taught him how to play the mandolin and by nine years old, it was the electric guitar. By 21, he was playing with rocker Steve Perry (Journey) and taking offers from mainstream rock labels. But, he’d made a commitment to Christ in his teens. So, his journey went through his local church where he went from sound technician to youth leader to worship leader. Finally, he crossed paths with Vertical music of the Integrity Music Group and began to record the modern, rock-tinged worship for which he is now known.
The self-produced All to You… Live is Brewster’s fourth worship album. It was recorded live at his home church, Bayside. Probably his favorite thing on the project is “Another Hallelujah,” from the Leonard Cohen favorite “Hallelujah.” “I heard that chorus and thought, ‘That’s a worship chorus”. I didn’t think he would let us use it, because I wanted to change it from his ‘God is horrible’ to my ‘God is love’ feel. But, he did and it’s like a victory – a song redeemed for God’s purpose.” Brewster says, “these songs really came from leading worship at a local church. It’s about identifying the change that’s taken place in your life because of Christ and running towards it with reckless abandon”. A husband and father of two young sons, Brewster admits, “I think about how God loves me way more than I even love my own kids. ‘So, I’m not going to be a pew warmer, I’m going to give all I can over to Him.’”
Brewster has a renewed passion for equipping other worship leaders with tools to enhance their own ministries. “As a full-time worship leader myself, I know first-hand that we’re always looking for resources, and I want to be a good steward of my time and spend it creating things that will help others be effective for Him. I love it this way.”

Whether coaching or playing the game, you have to master the fundamentals. If you want to play basketball you have to learn to dribble and shoot. If you want to play football you have to memorize plays. If you want to play hockey you have to learn how to beat up people. Like your mom said, it’s about how you play the game. But how do you teach singers to sing with confidence?
Being a vocalist is much like being an athlete. After all, what’s the difference between leading worship for a weekend or running a marathon? When’s the last time you came off the platform and weren’t a-huffin and a-puffin?
Like the athlete, we must teach our vocalists the fundamentals. We must help them train and develop the fine motor skills that allow for natural, God-given vocal production. We were created by God to speak and sing his praise. Most people have no trouble speaking. How do you help turn speech into quality singing?
If you coach a vocal group, this seminar will teach you how to teach your singers with confidence. If you are on the field as a singer, this seminar will give you seven physical goals to focus on to improve your confidence.

Ministry today is flooded with a tidal wave of tasks that leaves most leaders drowning in a sea of demands. Traditional time management doesn’t work anymore because greater efficiency can’t keep up with the exponential growth of things to do. What Matters Most is an intensely practical, interactive workshop where you will learn a simple system for managing your priorities NOT your time every day. This pre-conference intensive, What Matters Most, is based on the powerful premise that focus not efficiency is the key to a better ministry AND a better life!

Logan Martin - Live Acoustic Concert
Friday Night, 9:15 pm
Check out myspace.com/Loganmartin
"ALL COLORS SHINE ON INDIE DEBUT...4 out of 5 Stars!!!!"
"Though he's opened for Jeremy Camp and Shawn McDonald on numerous occasions, Logan Martin's name may not be one you are familiar with...yet. Colorless is a highly eclectic album, featuring upbeat pop songs and distinctive ballads. "Life Like This," obvious single material, is reminiscent of Jason Mraz, and "All Over You" opens up like a Matt Wertz tune, but in both cases Martin's uniquely powerful voice makes the songs undoubtedly his own. The softer side of the album, although less commercial, showcases what makes this songwriter standout. Even alongside a gorgeous worship ballad, the previously recorded "Here I Am" is one of the defining moments on the record. Written from his mom's perspective on her abusive childhood, Martin sings with gut-wrentching honesty: "Here I am/Take me now/Here I am/ I'm frail and broken down." The title track, meanwhile, is also a standout ballad. Perhaps featuring Martin's best vocals, "Colorless" peaks with his breathtaking falsetto. With great underlying movement and a melody that sounds like no one else, it is here that Martin proves his huge songwriting talent. Martin has created a truly enjoyable debut album...one that you don't want to miss!" -CCM Magazine
